In THE GUTTER, when the often-fired Walt (Shameik Moore) lands on the bar and kicks off his shoes at the local AlleyCatz bowling alley, he feels like he’s finally found a home. With AlleyCatz facing financial trouble, Walt is pressured by former pro bowler and current drinking champion Skunk (D’Arcy Carden) to embrace his role as the greatest bowler ever to walk the earth. While Walt’s love of big checks and in-your-face style of play dominates the professional tour, his detractors, including ratings-obsessed news anchor Angel Powers and bowling legend Linda “The Crusher” Curson (Susan Sarandon), fiercely try to extinguish Walt’s flame before it burns too brightly.
